Be Free!

Hey girl Hey,

So Saturday i had the opportunity to speak at Pinky Promise, we had such a good time it's always so refreshing to be able to come and gather around my sisters and get down to the nitty gritty about what we struggle with. So onto the lesson, we talked about being beautifully and Wonderfully Made, that being how we view view ourselves verses how God views us. My first question was When you wake up in the morning and look in the mirror what do you see? I had us make a list with the "good" and the "bad". My list is posted! so we discussed the list and we focused on the bad. I know what your thinking so you want me to focus on the things i cant stand about myself? Yes ma'ma i sure do! So lets focus on Genesis 1:27 & 1:31 27 So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; 31 Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good! male and female he created them

When we read these verses I want us to focus on the fact that we are apart of Gods creation, he is pleased how he made us, no matter how way may feel that day or the next day, we may feel worthless, not pretty,or feel we have little value. No matter how we may feel i want us to really face the fact that we have VALUE in and to HIM. our creator!!!!!!

Next question: When we identify the "bad" things we see in or on ourselves, where do you get your comfort from? For me I would run to social media when i wasn't feeling my best, i could easily go on there be dressed half naked just to get some comments more importantly I was running there for VALIDATION. Also sometimes i'd even be in "situation-ships" that were so toxic just to get filled up with sweet nothings. I had to come to terms that those comments, compliments, that sex only lasted for a coupe of moments and i was right back empty.

Next question: When you go looking for comfort, How do you feel after you go to all those places? I answered that question above, simply put when we don't go to the correct place to find our validation, acceptance, happiness, joy, we will only feel that "good" feeling for a minute then we are back to square one. If we are not running to the feet of our creator to be filled with his love WE WILL NEVER NEVER NEVER know what it means to be Beautifully and Wonderfully Made PERIOD!

Now for the next part I decided that we needed to Shift what we Seek! So for this activity we used Balloons, if you do not have a balloon handy, you can easily use a piece of paper. So on whatever material you want to use, I want you to write every bad thing on your list. Once you have everything written out, I want you to Play No Bondage look it up on apple music or you tube and get your WHOLE life sis lol, but no really listen to the words and think about the things that you are releasing, and BE FREE from those things that are holding you back, whether its Fear, not liking something on your body, depression, anxiety. I want you to PRAY those things away from you. After you finish praying i want you to Pop that balloon or shred that paper, ball it up and throw it in the trash, rip it up into little pieces and LET IT GO, be free from what this world says you have to be, be free from what it is holding you back, talk back to the enemy and tell him he can not have your peace, joy, and happiness. Let him know you are made for such a time as this and he WILL NOT WIN!

The next activity is an Affirmation poem to yourself, and this is something that i want you to look at everyday, read it to yourself before you go to work, before you get out your car, hang it in your bathroom or in your car. It is a simple poem, you just add your name where my name is:

Kiara Janae Holiday You are beautiful God created you perfect you have no imperfections you are loved you are a powerhouse your smile is amazing your hair is beautiful There us nothing you need to change on you everything on you is where God wanted it to be, Dont you dare change a thin! So chin up, put your smile on, tip your crown and OWN THIS DAY I LOVE YOU!

This lesson alone is why I started my blog I want us to have a safe space to talk and be free from what is keeping us from being Beautifully and Wonderfully Made.
